This is my main tool for photography ! Sony A7R mk ii. It is a mirrorless digital camera, with 42 megapixel, light weight (625gr) and quite small dimensions (126.9 × 95.7 x 60.3mm).
Easy to carry around, even on the hardest mountain hikes, weather resistant (VERY important when doing landscape photography !), high resolution (a great thing for prints), quite good also in low light conditions (even at high ISO the noise stays at reasonable levels) and a great performance with the Dynamic range (13,9 EV at ISO 74).
The only downside of this camera is a low battery duration: I just carry with me 2 extra batteries (they are very small and light by the way !) and I know I am good for 2 full days of photos in the nature.
At the moment I mainly use this camera with the ultra wide lens SK Samyang FE 14-24mm f/2.8: 90% of my pictures are taken in this focal range.
This lens is the first of its kind that can support filters, it is quite light (445gr) making a good tool also on my tougher hikes, and with a f/2.8 aperture is exactly what I need for my night shots.

I also have a Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 for those rare cases of something far away or other kind of photography I might do sometimes.
Always attached to my camera is the L-plate, a mandatory accessory for landscape photography.

I also have a Sony A7S astromodified (full spectrum), which I only use when I shoot starry nightsky: the modification is making me able to catch the full spectrum of the electromagnetic waves, helping to capture the infrared waves and other waves length invisible to human eye, for example those from the emission nebulaes of the deep space.

This instead is my star tracker, the Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer 2i. A star tracker is a mechanic instrument that simulate the Earth rotation, allowing me to take long exposures (even up to 5 minutes or more) when shooting stars, without getting any stars trail.
This model also have the possibility to mount a counter weight, making possible also the use of the camera with longer lenses like a 24-105mm tele zoom.
It is also fairly small and light, so quite easy to pack and carry it in my backpack to locations a bit less accessible.

This is the tripod I use for most of all my photo shootings: XILETU L334C + G44 head. It is 187cm tall (such length helps to not lose shooting height if I shoot from an inclined ground) when full open and 50cm when folded, it has 33mm tube diameter making it very stable in any weather condition, and it is only 2.4kg of weight.
I also have an alluminum tripod for particular demanding hikes, which is smaller (150cm - 34cm) and lighter (1.6kg), allowing me to travel with less weight and also leaving more space for other mandatory equipment such as tent, sleeping bag and warm clothes.
